Both Laurent Koscielny and Alexis Sanchez hobbled off for the north Londoners, as Lewis Grabban’s equaliser just before half-time grabbed a hard-fought point for the hosts
Arsenal missed out on the chance to move level on points with the Premier League table-toppers as they forfeited the lead against Norwich City in a disappointing 1-1 draw that was made even more miserable by a double injury blow.
The Gunners wrestled control of the early exchanges and took the lead through Mesut Ozil, who latched onto Alexis Sanchez’s through-ball and dinked the ball over John Ruddy and into the far corner.
But, with time running out in the first half, Lewis Grabban spun substitute Gabriel – who had replaced the injured Laurent Koscielny – and slide the ball under Petr Cech to level the scores.
Arsenal struggled to test Ruddy in the second half and their task was made even harder when Sanchez was forced off with a hamstring injury, while they were indebted to Cech who made a wonder save to prevent an own goal and ensure the Gunners at least left Carrow Road with a point.
