PSG Star Bags Two-Month In Prison For Violence Against Police

Paris Saint-Germain star Serge Aurier has been sentenced to two months in prison for violence against a police officer.

The defender is currently facing jail term and has also been handed a £521 fine and ordered to pay £1,300 in court costs; the Ivorien might serve community service instead making him available to play against Ludogorets.

According to reports, the right-back will appeal the sentence after he was involved in a fight outside a night club near Paris on May 30. The sentence is a convertible one and he is expected to perform community service rather than spend time in jail.

Paris Saint-Germaine boss Unai Emery has not come out to talk about the sentence but it is expected that the defender may be sidelined in order to settle his legal issues.

Aurier who joined Paris Saint-Germain on an initial season-long loan with an option to buy in 2014, has been a bright star in the Parisian club overcoming competition from Gregory Van der Wiel to cement a place in the squad but his recent personal problems may be a stumbling block in his footballing career.
