Liverpool Agree Deal For Nigeria International

Liverpool Agree Deal For Nigeria International

Liverpool Agree Deal For Nigeria International – Liverpool have agreed a deal to loan Nigeria International, Taiwo Awoniyi to NEC Nijmegen.

According to reliable reports, a loan deal between Liverpool and Nijmegen has been agreed; Awoniyi underwent a medical with the Dutch Club at the beginning of last week ahead of the season-long switch but an official confirmation has been put on hold due to work permit issues.

A close source revealed: Nothing is delaying Awoniyi’s move to NEC Nijmegen, all is sealed and settled, The rule in Holland is a little different. Until the work permit is granted, NEC can’t make the transfer official but we hope it is granted this week.”

Awoniyi joined Liverpool last summer after some impressive performances at youth grade competition with the Nigerian National team, however he was loaned to German side FSV Frankfurt scoring one goal in 14 appearances for the German outfit.

Taiwo became a household name in Nigeria when he shined with the Golden Eaglets at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World cup where he helped the side win the cup, scoring four goals. He then went on to represent Nigeria at the 2015 FIFA U-20 world cup in New Zealand.
